I look forward to this trip, but it requires a lot of preparation and work before hand. This is my 4th year to go. Last year was the first time I purchased a booth with my friend to sell SeneGence LipSense® products. It was a HUGE SUCCESS! I talked so much to thousands of women andd men during those 4 days from 8am - midnight that I came home and had lost my voice. This year the conference kicks off 6/7 - 6/10 again. I have been preparing for weeks. I am remembered by what I wear and sell. Therefore, you must have plenty of inventory on hand. People see the products and they want it then, not later. This year, we are driving, instead of flying. Reason being, we can take the products as a carry-on any longer. I do not want to check the products, due to someone stealing them and the heat in the cargo could damage the products. My mother was going down with me, as she usually does, to visit a cousin for a few days before I check in to the Hyatt for conference. She stays at my cousin during this time. but this year, my father became a little disable from hurting his back and will have surgery today. Please keep him in your prayers! My mom will not be able to make the trip in order to take care of him. It is always fun to go on a vacation with my mom. It is a great get away for both of us. My biggest decision when traveling is what to wear. Saturday, I spend all day putting together my outfits. This is a business trip, therefore, it is not as simple as packing for the beach. I am known for over packing. I never know what mood I am going to be in and that is how I put together outfits. I may start with a pair of shoes and pick the clothes and accessories from the color(s) of the shoes. I had clothes hanging all over the place. I would put together an outfit, then start looking for the jewelry and accessories. Put that on the hanger and then place the shoes under the outfit. As I ended the day, I decided to read a magazine. Guess what article I came upon? “What’s the smartest way to pack?” Follow this formula: If you are going away for 6 days, divide by 2 for the number of bottoms to pack, therefore, bring 3 skirts or pants. For your tops, multiply by 1.5, so nine. then add the following: one going out dress, a weatherproof jacket, two pairs of practical shoes ( I have 10 packed), a handful of jewelry and some high-octane heels (if you are going to an urban city). I was rated as a chronic overpacker, which they told me to just take one-single wear item; everything else should be mixable. I just can’t bring my self to do this, but I am going to try. Since I am driving, it is easy to take more because you don’t have to pack a big suitcase, you can just hang it in a travel bag! So wish me luck in this adventure and a lot of success!
