First Impressions are a key to People Remembering You and Your Products

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
WHEN YOUR ARE TRYING TO SALE A PRODUCT OR SERVICE, IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION. HERE ARE SOME TIPS:
- SMILE - it is your secret weapon. People remember you when your happy or give them a compliment.
- ALWAYS DRESS PROFESSIONALLY - the way I dress is one of my trademarks. I have a knack for putting things together that no one else would ever think of. I may wear a $500 blazer with a $4 Goodwill skirt, but all the accessories make the outfit. People always comment on my glasses, etc.
- GIVE A FIRM HANDSHAKE - This shows you have confidence in yourself. It can’t be too tight, because then you can be overpowering, but you don’t want to give a limp one either. This shows weakness. Be yourself.
- NAME BADGE - should be worn on the right shoulder.
- NEVER SHARE PERSONAL ISSUES - you are there to find out about them, not yourself.
- REMEMBERING NAMES - People love to hear the sound of their names. When you resite their name, you are telling them that you are important.
- ALWAYS ASK THEIR NAME AND REPEAT IT AT LEAST 3X DURING THE CONVERSATION:
- REPEAT IT AFTER THEY TELL YOU IN A SENTENCE OF SOME SORT
- ASK THEM TO SPELL IT (even if it is a simple name)
- COMMENT ON THEIR NAME - ie. that is my sister’s name or what a beautiful name, what does it come from?
- GET THEIR BUSINESS CARD - take few minutes to review the card and match it to their face or to something else that will help you remember them.
- WOW THEM -in selling SeneGence Products®, I swipe my hand with the long-lasting LipSense® in several colors. People always asks, “what is on your hand?” I tell them that it is lip color and asked them to rub their hand over it. When it does not smear, smudge or rub off, they are amazed!!!! They usually comment “WOW”, how can I get some? Then you have made a first impression and the sale begins. I put it on my hand every day when I leave the house.
- BECOME A POWER NETWORKER - attend events every week, keep your face in the public eye
- SET GOALS -decide how many referrals you want to get and receive for the week.
- Remember: ‘IF YOU ALWAYS GIVE, YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE!”
- MEET 3 PEOPLE EACH WEEK
- WHEN AT EVENTS CONNECT OTHERS WITH A WARM INTRODUCTION
- SEND E-MAILS TO CONNECT PEOPLE
- WRITE A FRIENDLY NOTE THAT IT WAS VERY NICE MEETING THEM AND MAIL IT.
- BECOME A GATEKEEPER
- THE ONE WITH THE MOST CARDS IN THEIR ROLODES WINS!!!
- GIVE REFERRALS - as much as you can without expectation of personal gain

MAGNETIZE YOURSELF to attract the ‘PERFECT CLIENTS’. Share what makes a good referral for you and your business. Enjoy the what goes around, comes around at this point.
