The day started off with just the average chores around the house, then I received a phone call from friend, Carleen.  She invited me to go with her to Pointfest at Verizon Amphitheatre to see her son’s band play.  I had heard their music, but never actually met them.  Well, we got to actually stand on stage with them while performing!  It was awesome.  I was so thankful to be onstage and not in the crowd.  The kids today and their smawsh pits, I just don’t understand.  As I looked out into the crowd, I saw people being tossed around up in the air.  They would start at the back and people would move them to the front in mid-air.  Then the security guys would put them down and send them on their way.  The Story of the Year band was great, singing their newest releases and promoting their 3rd Album.

It was so much fun meeting all their friends, their parents and siblings.  Thanks again for such a fun hour!

Then I had already made plans to go to Jackson’s on Manchester to hear Vee-6, a local band that just enjoys playing music and does not play for a living.  They all have professional jobs.  A couple of the guys work for Fox 2.  Therefore, the night got better.  As I was sitting in a booth to avoid the crowd, I had the honors of 2 more celebrities to come join me.  It was Elliot Davis and Summer Knowles from Fox 2.  I politely offered them a sit to avoid the crowd and let them enjoy themselves after a hard night at work.  It was a pleasure to meet all of these people.  What is even better, they are just average people like us.  They were very kind, considerate and very enjoyable to be around.
