Question: How to relieve Stress from showing on your Face?
When you are exhausted, it doesn’t matter whether you were up all night working or dancing: The dark circles, puffy eyes, and blothchy skin look the same either way! Whatever the cause may be, a sleepless night leaves your complexion just as groggy as your mind. Therefore, when your skin does not get a chance to do its normal maintenance and repair overnight, everything slows down. This is what causes the aging process of the skin. Your cell skin renewal turnover decreases, making your face look dull, your blood does not circulate as well. This means, not as much oxygen gets to the skin cells. Therefore, the lymphatic fluid can start to pool in areas like under your eyes, making you look puffy. People usually will comment, “you look tired or stressed out“! They are usually commenting on one of two things, your face or your skin!
This is the reason that all of us need to take care of our skin, both face and body. It is so important to have a daily regimen to keep your skin hydrated and moisturized and mostly important to use a sunscreen. One must use a cleanser that is formulated to gently and effectively remove oil, dirt and bacteria. Look for cleansers that are detergent-free and this will help and maintain moisture content, exfoliate and restore pH to the skin. Look for products that contain the smallest molecular weight. This will allow the product to penetrate through the skin to work from the inside out! Be wary of Vitamin C products. Although, they are wonderful for skin renewal, make sure you use a highly concentrated formula made from oils similiar to those naturally found in your skin and will help reduce moisture loss. Always use a moisturizer afterwards to lock it in. You want to provide a mechanical shield from the sun during daytime. You need a moisturizer that contains jojoba oil (a natural sunscreen ingredient), squalene and unique botanicals that reduce oil production to deeply hydrate and moisturize. Evening moisturizers do not neccessarily need a mechanical shield, but should be more concentrated to give you that great no-stress look when you wake up! If you are prone to bags under your eyes, use an eye cream that has natural oils and vitamins that include Vitamin E for protection, Vitamin A for diminishing fine lines and wrinkles, plus Jojoba oil, sweet almond and avocado oil to nourish the sensitive, moisture-depleted area around the eyes. This rich formula melts and emulsifies at skin temperature, fills in fine lines, and makes skin smooth and supple. Apply your make-up after all of these steps and you will fill STRESS-FREE!
